New Zealand Anaesthesia Annual Scientific Meeting combined with the 13th International Congress of Cardiothoracic and Vascular Anesthesia

Welcome

The New Zealand Anaesthesia Annual Scientific Meeting, combined with the 13th International Congress of Cardiothoracic and Vascular Anesthesia, is being jointly hosted by the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists and the New Zealand Society of Anaesthetists with support from the Society of Cardiovascular Anesthesiologists.

The theme "What becomes of the broken hearted? Outcomes and how to change them" will be both stimulating and enjoyable.

New Zealand has an international reputation for excellence in both delivery of anaesthesia services and research. Auckland City Hospital has the world renowned Green Lane cardiac anaesthesiology unit. The New Zealand anaesthesiology community support this event and are keen to bring a fresh and dynamic approach to this prestigious meeting.

Auckland is a diverse city of 1.4 million and is known internationally for its wonderful natural beauty and coastline.  It enjoys a mild climate and has world-class restaurants and entertainment. We are fortunate that New Zealand is visa free to 50 nations and is a safe, friendly and magnificent country.

We look forward to welcoming you to New Zealand in November.

DESTINATION NEW ZEALAND

New Zealand is the youngest country on earth - the last major landmass to be discovered. It has a rich and fascinating history, reflecting both our Maori and European heritage.

Comparable in size and/or shape to Great Britain, Colorado or Japan, New Zealand has a population of only 4 million - making it one of the world's least crowded countries.
